Ford out in force for Mercury/WON Tuna Jackpot
CABO SAN LUCAS - The Southern California Ford Dealers had a strong presence at the Sixth Annual Mercury/WON Los Cabos Tuna
Jackpot, which makes sense since Ford is the official truck of all of WON's fresh and saltwater events.

Splitting $3,000 courtesy of Marty Burch and
Burch Ford were Rodney Bell, Maura Braun and Chuck Hagan. |
It also makes sense because these boys not only like to fish, they know how to fish.
Ford dealers Marty Burch, Dick Landfield and Kelly McMullen, along with Burch Ford fleet manager Don Southard, competed again
this year on Landfield's sportfisher Reel Trick.
They weren't able to match their previous tournament best 132.5-pound yellowfin that put them in the Top Twenty in 2002, but
they were in the area that produced the winning fish both days.
Marty Burch and Don Southard are the core of Team Borracho, a longtime fixture at and sponsor of the many WON saltwater events.

his $1,000 in Borracho cash. |
Team Borracho stepped up for the Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot event with a "guess the weight of the winning tuna" contest.
There were three prescient anglers in the crowd who divined that a 206-pound tuna would be the ultimate yellowfin of the Tuna
Jackpot - Rodney Bell, Maura Braun and Chuck Hagan.
Burch gave the winners the choice of splitting the $3000 prize evenly or playing a game that would result in winner take all.
The three took a moment to digest the info and Marty started to get his game together, but then they all came to their senses
and walked away with a fistful of Benjamins.
